The
Significance Of Place
What is it about this place? I've
had people call me from Texas, who have never set foot inside
Cook County tell me they want to be married at Wrigley Field.
Well, you can thank WGN, Harry Carey and yes, Sammy Sosa for
that.
 Actually,
many couples want to be married in some, shall we say, very
significant place. It
may be where they first met, or like Tim and Cora above, a
place that gave them many good times for many years. Tim and
Cora rented out the entire rooftop bleacher section at Murphy's
for their wedding party along with it's dedicated refreshment
stand. They and their guests had all the privacy they needed,
and Tim and Cora took their vows after the national anthem.
Greg Maddox pitched for visiting San Diego, on a very hot summer's
day at the Friendly Confines.
